EDAWINDS is an engineering consulting company that provides knowledge and services in testing and measurements for various industries.

We support our clients in the design validation and in the improvements of the performance of mechanical structures, electrical machines systems and their components. In the field of wind turbines and other sectors of the mechanical-civil engineering.

We focus on the design of the measurement setup, sensor setup, cabinet setup and installation of measurements for mechanical loads, acoustical noise vibrations, NVH, torsional resonances, rotational speed, controller data (SCADA), analysis of standard loads measurements according IEC16400-13 and the structural dynamics analysis based on measurements such as the experimental modal analysis, operational deflection shapes and operational modal analysis.

WHERE WE ARE

The company EDAWINDS SARL was founded in 2021 and is based at the Building of High Technologies (BHT) of Saint-Étienne Metropole, in Saint-Étienne city, France.

ABOUT EDGAR ANAHUA

Mr. Anahua has +13 years of experience in the field of testing and measurements on wind turbines plants by a Danish company VESTAS Wind Systems A/S, the world leader maker of wind turbines located in Aarhus, Denmark. Recently, he contributed to accomplish the goal to make noiseless Vestas wind turbines in cooperation with top global Vestas drivetrain supplier companies. In the product level, he contributed to the standard IEC certification of Vestas wind turbine models by testing and measurements in the area of the power performance, mechanical loads and drivetrain (gearbox).

He is an expert in designing the noise-vibration measurement instrumentation setup such as accelerometers, microphones, load cell sensors, wind speed sensors, wind turbine controller data and telemetry systems for rotational shafts with focus on the structural dynamics of the wind turbine drivetrain: main bearing shaft, gearbox, high speed shaft, electrical generator, main frame structure and the entire wind turbine component setups: blade, hub, nacelle and tower.

Previous to that, he worked 5 years as scientific researcher in the applied physics and instrumentation in the field of turbulence of the wind energy conversion at the Centre for Wind Energy Research (ForWind) and the University of Oldenburg in Germany.
